I started My Music Corner YouTube channel really as a way of getting to share my thoughts on music once in a while as I had been doing stuff with the Contrarians and I have had the opportunity to “meet” some great people.
The North and South Rock and Metal Connection came about out my attempt at doing a large panel show as it brought friends from different parts of my life together. Then the Brothers Carson, JD and Metal Roger and myself started doing stuff with fun topics.
Then I get this crazy notion to do a series to do a series on the band W.A.S.P., which is safe to say my favorite band. At first, I thought it was going to be a big panel thing but then I realized that the best thing would be to do the show with just one person. You know, keep it simple and compact.
Enter John the Music Nut.
He became the co-captain of this weekly journey. More than a co-captain. A friend and a brother.
W.A.S.P. Wednesday turned into something special. Most of everything I brought to the table in that series was off the cuff. It showed how deeply passionate I was about the band.
And I really have John to thank for that.
I was going to stop with W.A.S.P., but he convinced me to keep going. And he was willing to keep going with me.
As I do this post, we recorded episode 17 for the Year of the Priest series on Judas Priest earlier in the day. And I was blown away by it.
I’ve been blown away a lot during this series though. We decided to add a third person for different episodes and it worked really well! It’s been a blast working with Jack Toledano, Peter Jones, Joe Becht, Ernesto Ramos, Metal Roger, Mike Ladano, Chase Trautwein, and Jake Not From State Farm.
It’s the perspectives that each and every person brought to each show.
It’s the various people who have taken the time to watch the episodes and leave such insightful comments.
I certainly can’t any credit for it. I’m the host of the channel but it’s everyone on the episodes with me that are the stars of the show.
To all who watch the channel content.
To those who read these posts.
You all are the stars.
Thank you.

We’re stars… We’re stars!
Thank you man. It has been a tough year here. Last winter I decided to sell out for clicks, and I put a woman with sex appeal on my show. She got 1000’s of views… but it was a desperate step too far. My friends hated it, and I lost at least one friend over it. He won’t even speak to me anymore.
You helped pull me back from the ledge last summer when we did Anthrax and the Saint.
Things are looking up and I no longer grieve lost friendships. Onto better things and I look forward to what the future holds. May your music corner last a thousand years!
